The idea is to do small power talks, 45 mins each, one after the other. We already have quite a few speakers.		All about Java Enterprise projects at The Apache Software Foundation.

We will showcase a whole bunch of incredibly fast and lightweight Java EE component projects developed at the ASF - together they build up a great stack which is not only lightning fast but also scales up to big server farms. No wonder those components are the base for a remarkable amount of PaaS vendors.

Each component will be explained in technically deep 45 minute talks, covering introduction and a deep dive with a short example.

For example, Apache Chemistry, Apache POI, and Apache ODF Toolki, Rave, Shindig, etc. could schedule sessions that will offer attendees new opportunities for sharing and community building, depending on how the final conference session grid is defined. The Apache OpenOffice project proposes a 'conference within a conference'. This structure might best fit within (2) parallel session streams over one or two days depending on the response to the CFP. Additionally a breakout room(s) for hacking, meetups and refreshments will be needed. The project has funds available to cover some of these additional costs.

Keynotes from individuals leading user communities from business, governments and education will illustrate the myriad uses of OpenOffice.
Technical sessions focused on the core components: Writer, Calc, Impress, Math, Base and Draw will be featured. Equally important topics include: Programmability, Extensions, User Experience Design, Performance, Quality Engineering, Translation, and Documentation.

secondary: nobody at present. I'm asking around....		one day, one session, 100 peopleI will talk about common problems and their solutions I saw multiple times by our users using Apache Camel. This covers using transactions (local and XA), configuring routes at runtime, starting and stopping routes at runtime based on custom conditions, using JMX to monitor Camel and so on.

A similar track at ApacheCon NA 2011 was standing-room-only in a 100 person room, and we had more talk submissions than we could cover in one day. I'd suggest 200/2 days.Big Data is exploding across every industry, and Apache projects are at the forefront of taming this beast. From Cassandra to store your live data, to Hadoop to analyze it, to Kafka to direct it, to Mahout to learn from it, an understanding of these distributed systems is becoming increasingly key to modern, scalable application design.

In the near future, NoSQL databases would co-exist with relational databases but play a more significant role in IT industry.

This track would cover use cases and latest technical developments in NoSQL databases.
